Linné, Scandinavia’s biggest cathedral, Orphei Drängar, Pelle Svanslös, bandy

There are a lot of things to do and a lot of places to see in Sweden’s fourth biggest city. With a population of ca 161 000 (2018), the city is the seat of Uppsala kommun (with a population of 225 164 in December 2018) and the residence of Uppsala county (population ca 369 000). Uppsala is located both on Uppsala plain and on Uppsala ridge, the highest point of the city being Sunnerstabacken (27 m). Fyris river (Fyrisån) runs through the city and flows into Ekoln, which is a gulf of the big lake Mälaren.
