The municipality of Tyresö has a surface of ca 100 km² and a population of ca 48 335 inhabitants. It was created in 1971 and its residence is Tyresö centrum in Bollmora which is a part of Stockholm. The municipality has only 1 registration district and 1 urban area (as part of Stockholm).
